  • We are the largest Latina-based, multi-cultural membership sorority in the United States.
  • The nationalities in our sisterhood reflect over 109 countries of origin.
  • Sigma Lambda Gamma is a member organization of the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO), the only national umbrella organization for Latino fraternities and sororities in the United States.
  • We are proud to have the Trio Program and Breast Cancer Awareness as our national philanthropies.
  • We are the first Latina-based sorority in a historically African-American University - Florida A&M University.
  • Mu Beta Chapter established the first Multi-Cultural sorority at West Point Military Academy.

  • SLG - Theta Alpha Chapter was the first Latina-based, multi-cultural membership sorority established at Michigan State University.

  • Sister Allison D. Nevalga was the first recipient of Sister of the Year by the Fourth Independent Greek Council at Michigan State University.
  • SLG - Theta Alpha Chapter was the first recipient of Sorority of the Year by the Fourth Independent Greek Council at Michigan State University.
  • SLG - Theta Alpha Chapter spearheaded L.U.C.H.A (Leadership through Unity, Culture, Heritage & Activism) a cultural leadership conference held at Michigan State University.
